What a week!

What a week! Sister Lloyd and I have been tearing it up in Bartlett finding new people to teach, talking to every human we set our eyes on, and walking our missionary butts off. Just kidding I'm being dramatic about the walking; it was beautiful outside and we only walked when we wanted to. So, knocking on doors for hours on end just isn't the most practical thing for missionaries to do these days because of technology and member involvement BUT I wish we could knock doors forever. It's my favorite thing. We had a new missionary with us for an hour this week and she had never had the glorious opportunity of knocking doors on the southern baptist boulevards of Little Rock as I did my first day in the mission field. My heart went out to her. If you've never been a missionary or you've never knocked on a random door to talk to a stranger about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I invite you to do so now! Most of you won't, and you're missing out. Oh and don't worry, we invited (forced) the greenie we were with to talk to a man outside with a leaf blower. She did great. Anyways, conference was wonderful per usual. Our prophet, Thomas S. Monson gave his witness of the divinity of the Book of Mormon and its power in converting us to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful to have a prophet on the earth today!!! No that is not just a catchy phrase.. there is a PROPHET ON THE EARTH. A TRUE PROPHET OF GOD. The heavens are open people. We are blessed to live in the dispensation of the fullness of times (aka the priesthood power of god and the principles and ordinances of the gospel of Jesus Christ will never be taken from the earth again). Life (and missionary work) can be difficult, but I have hope because of Jesus Christ. There are new Easter videos out on Mormon.org so check them out if you haven't. I know I'm asking a lot of y'all this week, but repentance is good. Another cool thing, President Taniela B. Wakolo (my loving mission president) was called as a General Authority Seventy during the Saturday afternoon session of general conference. So cool. He walked up on the stands holding the Book of Mormon and bible in his hand repping the ALRM (and God). Well, I'm so thankful to be a missionary. I wouldn't trade this time for anything less than a million dollars. Kidding. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33).

The Power of the Book of Mormon
We live in a time of great trouble and wickedness. What will protect us from the sin and evil so prevalent in the world today? I maintain that a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His gospel will help see us through to safety. If you are not reading the Book of Mormon each day, please do so. If you will read it prayerfully and with a sincere desire to know the truth, the Holy Ghost will manifest its truth to you. If it is true—and I solemnly testify that it is—then Joseph Smith was a prophet who saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Because the Book of Mormon is true, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s Church on the earth, and the holy priesthood of God has been restored for the benefit and blessing of His children.
If you do not have a firm testimony of these things, do that which is necessary to obtain one. It is essential for you to have your own testimony in these difficult times, for the testimonies of others will carry you only so far. …

My dear associates in the work of the Lord, I implore each of us to prayerfully study and ponder the Book of Mormon each day. As we do so, we will be in a position to hear the voice of the Spirit, to resist temptation, to overcome doubt and fear, and to receive heaven’s help in our lives.
